Art For Progress launches new health insurance program for New York City based artists with competitive rates, discounts on premiums, an easy application process and other benefits for members of the organization.
New York (Bluehost/PRWEB ) August 19, 2008 — New York City based 501(c) 3 non-profit Art For Progress (AFP) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Atlantis Health Plans and Vista Health Solutions to provide affordable access to health insurance for New York City based artists, supporting members and their families.
Frank Jackson, Director of Art For Progress, has had a long career working in health policy and management. With his experience and knowledge from administering health programs, he began to research various programs available in New York City. He was able to negotiate directly with Atlantis Health Plans to assure some of the best rates available. Though affordable rates are important, Mr. Jackson secured plans with low deductibles, a $20 discount off of monthly premiums, and administration and application fees waived for members of the organization. With this new program he believes AFP is truly expanding access to health care in the community.
Individuals who are not part of AFP’s artist program can also qualify for participation in the health insurance program by purchasing a supporting membership to the organization.
